History

Our First Year

In 2024, our PTO was officially funded and launched with a mission to strengthen the JP Henderson school community. In our first year, we established bylaws, built a core group of dedicated volunteers, and began forming meaningful partnerships with our teachers, staff, and community. These first steps laid the foundation for continued growth and greater support for our students and school.

Who we are

We are parents, volunteers, and community members who share one goal—making a positive difference at JP Henderson Elementary. Together, we work to support our students, teachers, and staff through fundraising, events, and community partnerships.

Isaura Garcia

President

My name is Isaura Garcia, and I am honored to serve on the JP Henderson Elementary PTO. I am passionate about building a strong school community and ensuring that our PTO continues to support students, families, and teachers through fundraising, events, and meaningful resources.

Jessica Hernandez

Vice President

I’m a proud mom of four boys and love being part of J.P. Henderson’s PTO. As a former student myself, it means so much that my children have been able to attend the same school. Being involved in their education and in our community is something I truly value. I believe parent involvement makes a big difference, and I’m always happy to support and be a part of anything my kids do.

Tahlia Cavazos

Secretary

I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I’m a proud mom of three amazing kids who keep me busy, laughing, and inspired every day. Family is at the heart of everything I do—I love being involved in my children’s school, cheering them on in their activities, and creating special moments and memories together.

I’ve always been a creative at heart, and that carries into my work in marketing and design where I get to bring ideas to life, tell stories through visuals, and create projects that connect with people. Between family, school activities, and my creative passions, life stays full—but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Irais Rojas

Treasurer

I’m a proud wife and mom of four amazing kids. I love being a cheer mom and volleyball mom, and my family is truly my biggest joy. Traveling with them and making memories together is something I really enjoy. Family is everything to me, and I take pride in every moment we share.
